Who We Are
ViperStream is an independent software review platform focused on cloud security, privacy tools, and productivity software. We are not a faceless corporation. ViperStream was founded by a small team of cloud security researchers, IT professionals, and tech writers who believe that honest, hands-on software reviews are increasingly rare.
Our Mission
1. We test everything ourselves. Every VPN, every backup tool, every antivirus — installed, configured, and benchmarked on real devices.
2. We never accept payment for reviews. Our recommendations are based entirely on test results. No vendor can buy a spot on our guides.
3. We are privacy advocates ourselves. The tools we recommend are tools we use daily to protect our own data.
Meet Our Lead Researcher
Alex Morgan is a cloud solutions architect with over 10 years of experience in network security and cloud infrastructure. He holds certifications in cloud architecture and ethical hacking. Alex leads all testing at ViperStream and is responsible for the methodology that powers every review.
Our Testing Methodology
- Privacy & Security Audit: We read the entire privacy policy. We check for independent audits. We test for data leaks.
- Real-World Performance: We benchmark speed, reliability, and resource usage on both Windows and macOS.
- Usability Assessment: Is the software intuitive? Does it nag you with ads? We document the entire user experience.
- Business Model Transparency: We verify how the company makes money and whether that conflicts with user interests.
